I’m bored at home!! This stay at home thing is definitely not for the faint of heart

There’s no way to sugarcoat the amount of boring I experience during my week, so I’m not even gonna try. But I am gonna share all the things I get into when I’m not tending to business or these kids.

I’m growing onions and collecting houseplants
I’m waiting for a new snake plant to arrive this week. But in the meantime, I’ve been fascinated by how quick green onions can grow in a simple glass of water.  I can’t believe I haven’t tried this until now.  I tried growing them from dry bulbs in dirt, in the past. But, nothing compares to the growth and size of my easy water onions.

Here’s my 5 day old green onions I’m growing.

My newest plant baby is a gorgeous pothos from Wayfair
Bored at home: I’m cooking all the things
Most of my cooking time has been spent making super quick no-frills meals.  As much as I’d like to throw down on something gourmet, I just don’t have the patience right now to deal with ingredients I can’t find in the store or risk making something that the whole fam won’t eat.

I made a few changes to my regular meatloaf recipe. I switched from a tomato-based sauce to this homemade gravy style.  I think I like this one better.

I’ve also been making a variety of sliders and one pot meals in my multicooker.

And eating all the things
I’ve been eating all the salads, desserts, and bread. This is one of my personal fav’s to make.  It’s a simple chef’s salad with classic romaine mix, diced cucumber, diced tomatoes, sweet onion, honey ham, shredded cheddar cheeses. I like to top mine with creamy caesar dressing and a few crispy shrimp toasts.

One of my favorite salads to make. A delicious chef’s salad. This time minus the egg but with shrimp toast.

I’ve also been ordering take out since all of my favorite restaurants are offering pick up or delivery service.

One of my favorite spots. Loveless Cafe – Pulled Pork plate with a side of biscuits.
I’m also decorating and redecorating things around my home
I’ve been touching just about every room in our apartment.  This past weekend I reorganized our kitchen and this week I’ll be focusing on updating the balcony.  I’m really itching to reveal the balcony to you but I’ll do that in a separate post sponsored by Wayfair, in the coming weeks.

Check out my new kitchen organizer. This has freed up a lot of counter space and created a new home for my appliances. I even have a nice upper shelf for growing my green onions or for decor, like plants.

I’m currently organizing my kitchen and putting together functional furniture.

Finished kitchen organizer to free up counter space. This is the VASAGLE ALINRU Baker’s Rack with Shelves. Click to Buy!
I’m shopping online and choosing drive-up or pick up
I’m shopping online and keeping Target, Amazon, Wayfair, and BooHoo in business.   Shouts out to Target Drive Up for the dope customer service too!

Every once in awhile I’ll buy one of Target’s monthly beauty boxes.  I had to cop this Self-Love box for $7. It was worth so much more.  There were lots of quality goodies in this one.

Target Self Love Box came with a facial mist, masks, cooling eye gel mask, and more.

What have you been doing to ease your boredom?
